Mangum Handcuffs Cubs, Bees Seize 3-1 Advantage in R2
The Burlington Bees got a strong performance from pitcher Thomas Mangum, who stymied the South Bend offense en route to a 4-0 win in Game 4 of the Championship today. The Cubs could never get a bead on the right-handed Mangum, who threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball. The Bees now hold a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Mangum delivered a quality start for Burlington. The 6' 0" right-hander allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 7.2 innings of work.

Mangum told a Burlington Daily reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Community Field in Burlington.
