Tennessee Tops Mississippi Again, 9-7
The Mississippi Braves got 2 home runs from third baseman Mark Vientos today but failed to take Game 2 of the Championship from the Tennessee Smokies. In a nice performance, Vientos hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice but Tennessee took the game by a score of 9-7 and now lead the best-of-7 series, 2-0.

Tennessee used the clutch hitting of Brock Bowers to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Smokies the lead, 7-4. For the game, Bowers had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We'll savor this win," Bowers told the Tennessee Chronicle, "then get ready for the next game."

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Smokies Park in Knoxville.
