Myrtle Beach Wins to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Frederick Keys, winning 4-2 at Harry Grove Stadium today. Pelicans right-hander Nick Bitsko threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Pelicans to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Championship.

Chance Cox, the 24-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Cox contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Myrtle Beach up, 4-2.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Myrtle Beach skipper Webster Garrison. "I can't complain."

The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 22nd , 2023 at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Myrtle Beach.
