Tempe Wins to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
The Tempe Angels have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Surprise (TEX) Rangers, winning 6-4 at Surprise Stadium today. Angels designated hitter Taylor Luginbill went 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win cuts the deficit facing the Angels to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Championship.

It could have been a different outcome for Tempe, had it not been for Will Gasparino, the 18-year old right fielder . Gasparino contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Tempe up, 6-4.

"I like how we're playing right now," said Luginbill.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Surprise Stadium in Surprise.
