Yankees Waste Great Game from Sano
|
The Boston Red Sox weathered a fine game by New York third baseman Miguel Sano to upend the Yankees, 10-7, at Fenway Park. Sano was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Boston reliever Michael Torretta picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. John Butler absorbed the loss. Boston has 3 straight wins, New York 3 straight losses.
In the bottom of the fourth, Boston shortstop Todd Kuhn had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and no one out, Kuhn stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 6-5, Boston. For the game, he went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Kuhn said.
