Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Cincinnati Reds and Washington Nationals.
The Cincinnati Reds downed the Washington Nationals, 5-4, at Nationals Park. The Reds were led by Bryan Owen. He went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Cincinnati reliever Cade Cavalli picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Jon Simpson was tagged with the loss. Earning his 14th save for Cincinnati was Joe Gray.
Brandon Soleimani chipped in for Cincinnati, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Soleimani said after the game.
