Rangers Win at Washington, 5-4
|
The Texas Rangers topped the Washington Nationals, 5-4, in American League action at Nationals Park. The standout performance belonged to Texas pitcher and Beverly Hills, California, native James Kaprielian. Zack Burdi was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 7 save opportunities. Texas has now won 3 in a row.
Claude Kern, the 25-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Kern contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Texas up, 4-3.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Kern. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
