Angels Nip Astros, 6-5
|
Angel Stadium of Anaheim was host to some action-packed drama.
Los Angeles picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, bumping off the Houston Astros, 6-5. Pitcher Brady Singer was a major reason the Angels emerged victorious. The winner was Los Angeles reliever Armando Romero, now 5-2. The loser was Mark López.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the tenth. With Los Angeles trailing 5-4, Adam Smith hit a fastball from Raisel Iglesias to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Angels had a walk-off win.
Smith described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
Los Angeles improves to 62-30 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
