Astros Take Nail-Biter Over Orioles
|
Behind the hitting of Darge Kawawe, the Houston Astros stopped the Baltimore Orioles, 6-5. Kawawe was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Astros. The Astros have an impressive 97-56 record.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Houston shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr., facing Steve Badger, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Astros the 6-5 win.
Tatis Jr. told a Houston Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
