Twins, Perez Pin Bad Loss on Tigers
The Minnesota Twins grabbed a 10-1 win over the Detroit Tigers at Target Field. Minnesota catcher Michael Perez went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice to earn player of the game honors. At 74-82, the Twins find themselves in third place in the American League Central.

Perez came through with some timely hitting for Minnesota. With the score 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth and two down, Perez hit a 2-0 fastball for a grand slam home run. His 20th home run of the season made it 5-1, Minnesota.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Perez.
