Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Allegiant Field.

The 11-6 New York (LV) win over Houston (LV) was due largely to Cole Carrigg. The Mets third baseman went 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Jackson Nezuh picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Mack Howard was tagged with the loss.

New York (LV) used the timely hitting of Nick Lorusso to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mets on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Mets manager Randy Tomlin. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

Houston (LV) drops to 1-1.
