Edward Carlson was a vital contributor to the 7-6 Syracuse victory over Rochester. The Chiefs right fielder was 2-4 with a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Syracuse reliever Jack Little got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Brian Brooks was tagged with the loss. Syracuse, at 18-19, holds down 4th place in the North.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Syracuse trailing 6-5, T.J. Snow hit a fastball from Brian Brooks for a 2-run home run, giving the Chiefs the walk-off win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Snow told the Syracuse Observer.
