Chiefs Take Down IronPigs, 5-4
|
Lehigh Valley first baseman Myles Christian had a good game, even if his team did not. The IronPigs dropped a 5-4 decision to Syracuse at Coca-Cola Park. Christian was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Syracuse reliever Lance Klos picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Hudson Henry absorbed the loss. Jack Little finished to wrap up his 10th save.
Max Ferguson, the 23-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ferguson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Syracuse up, 5-4.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Ferguson.
With the win, Syracuse pushed its record to 22-20.
