Knights Get One-Run Win at Gwinnett
Charlotte Knights starter Joey Wentz pitched a strong game against the Gwinnett Stripers at Coolray Field, leading the Knights to victory, 4-3. Nathan Schuessler was called on to finish, recording his 13th save. Charlotte is now 24-30, while Gwinnett is 30-24.

Charlotte used the clutch hitting of Michael Wheeloc to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Knights ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Charlotte manager Dallas McPherson.
