|
The Indianapolis Indians knocked off the Scranton WB RailRiders, 5-4, at Victory Field. Leith Wentzell was a big reason Indianapolis won. The designated hitter went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Indianapolis reliever Mark LaRussa picked up the win to move to 2-2. Patrick Morris suffered the loss. Hudson Helton earned the save for Indianapolis, his 3rd.
Rece Hinds hit a 2-run home run off Connor Garnett in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Indians ahead, 5-3. In addition to the homer, Hinds had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Scranton WB manager Sal Fasano said following the tough loss.
