The Toledo Mud Hens turned back the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 4-3, at Fifth Third Field. Mike Nixon, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Weston Shuster collected his 13th save. After today's action, Toledo sits at 31-31, while Lehigh Valley falls to 37-27.

Nixon contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Toledo in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Nixon took a curveball from Matt Johnson and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Mud Hens to leap in front, 4-1.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Lehigh Valley skipper Troy Gingrich.
