The Durham Bulls topped the Charlotte Knights by a score of 5-4. Leading the way was first baseman Jorge Alvarado. Alvarado went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Bulls. Lewis Thorpe got the save, the 2nd for him this season. Durham now has a 6-game win streak.

With Durham leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Alvarado hit a changeup from Andre Pallante for a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Bulls ahead, 5-0.
