Clippers Shut Out Chiefs, 3-0
|
The Columbus Clippers beat the Syracuse Chiefs, 3-0, at Huntington Park. Starting pitcher Robin Addison was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Addison picked up the win for Columbus, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 6-5. Alex Scherff picked up the save, his 13th.
Chipping in for Columbus was left fielder Tim Tawa. He stroked a double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Tawa was 1-4 with a double.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Tawa told the Columbus Today.
Columbus is now riding a 3-game win streak.
