The Toledo Mud Hens got a sterling performance from pitcher Matthew Liberatore, but the Rochester Red Wings still prevailed, 4-3. Liberatore threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. Julián Rivera snagged the win in relief. In 1.1 innings, the left-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 1-0 on the season. The Red Wings improve their record to 34-39 with the win over Toledo.

Rochester won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Weston Shuster on the mound for Toledo, first baseman Lewis Allen hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Red Wings fans to their feet.

"It was a solid team effort," said Allen after the game.
