Tides Come Back Late to Clip Chiefs
The Syracuse Chiefs got a superb performance from pitcher Jackson Kowar. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Norfolk. The Tides won the game, 5-2. In spite of the loss, Kowar was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball. Norfolk, at 41-54, occupies last place in the South.

Norfolk used the bat of Josh Jung to capture the win. The third baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tides ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Jung said after the game.
