Adams, IronPigs Get 1-0 Win
|
Don Adams was outstanding against Syracuse. The right-hander, who leads the IL in strikeouts with 129, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a IronPigs 1-0 win. Andrew Schultz got the save, his 2nd in 2 chances. The win puts Lehigh Valley at 53-53 this season.
Adams, now 8-10, scattered 3 hits over 8 innings for the IronPigs.
"I had a good game plan," said Adams. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Troy Gingrich said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
