Tight Tilt Goes to Bisons, 4-3
|
The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
The Buffalo Bisons overcame a good performance by Scranton WB third baseman Liam Ballard to knock off Scranton WB, 4-3, at Coca-Cola Field. Ballard was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Hideaki Hirose recorded his 3rd save for Buffalo.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Henry Powell went deep for the Bisons. With Buffalo trailing 3-1, he drilled a 2-run home run.
Powell called the triumph "a good team win."
The victory puts Buffalo at 52-79.
