Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Pawtucket Red Sox and the Syracuse Chiefs. Pawtucket won it, 3-1. Pawtucket starter Andrew Quezada was in command. Pawtucket reliever Andrew Quezada got the win, raising his record to 3-2. Carl Deer was tagged with the loss. Kyle Murphy earned his 30th save in 35 chances.
Barry Crocker aided the Pawtucket cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"Feels good to get the job done," Crocker said after the game.
At 63-69, the Red Sox are currently third in the North.
