Clippers Suffer 10-5 Setback
|
The Columbus Clippers and Louisville Bats were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Huntington Park.
The Louisville Bats grabbed a 10-5 win over the Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park. Louisville third baseman Charles Thomas was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs to earn player of the game honors. The first-place Bats have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
Louisville took a 7-4 lead on Luis Murillo's 21st hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Murillo hit in the top of the seventh, left Columbus pitcher Oliver Bush shaking his head.
"It feels good to get this one," Murillo told the Louisville Chronicle.
