Bisons Pull Off Thrilling 5-4 Win in Extras
Getting a good performance from first baseman Rich Ritchie, the Buffalo Bisons defeated the Scranton WB RailRiders, 5-4. Ritchie went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Bisons. The winner was Buffalo reliever Michael Broadway, now 3-4. The loser was Rich Kennedy. Buffalo, now 53-81, holds down last place in the North.

Ritchie had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a 0-1 changeup from Rich Kennedy, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Bisons a 5-3 lead. It was the 18th home run of the year for Ritchie.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Scranton WB manager Sal Fasano. "But we decided not to take it."
