The Albuquerque Isotopes faced a tough opponent in El Paso pitcher Danny McKnight, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Southwest University Park by a final score of 5-4. McKnight went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Neftali Feliz snagged the win in relief. In 2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits. He's now 2-0 on the season. Albuquerque is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 10th in 25 games.
Albuquerque used the timely hitting of Jesús Galló to capture the win. The right fielder socked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Isotopes ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"It's good to win," Galló told the Albuquerque Today. "I like to have fun doing it."
