Wind Surge Deal Cubs 6-1 Defeat
Wichita Wind Surge starter Triston Casas was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Iowa Cubs, 6-1. Wichita reliever Michael Kirian picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Walter Hoffman was saddled with the loss. The Wind Surge saw their win-loss record go to 28-30. At the same time, the Cubs fell to 33-26.

It could have been a different outcome for Wichita, had it not been for Dan Davenport, the 25-year old center fielder . Davenport contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Wichita up, 2-1.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Casas told the Wichita Citizen.
