Behind the hitting of Junior Robinson, the Louisville Bats stopped the Syracuse Chiefs, 6-2. Robinson was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Bats. Louisville reliever Clark Riley picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Blair Henley was saddled with the loss. The Bats have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 15 games.
Mike Daum went 1 for 2 with 2 walks for Louisville. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Blair Henley. It was his 5th walk of the season.
"It's a long season," said Daum. "We'll keep working to improve."
