Rainiers Sneak Past Chihuahuas, 7-6
The Tacoma Rainiers turned back the El Paso Chihuahuas, 7-6, at Southwest University Park. Victor Adams, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The save went to Christian Roa, number 14 for him. Tacoma is now 31-35, while El Paso is 34-32.

Tacoma used a timely hit from Rob Segedin to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rainiers ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said El Paso manager Danny Dorn. "But we decided not to take it."
