Sounds Top Storm Chasers in Extras
|
Despite a great performance by Omaha first baseman Arnold Moser, the Nashville Sounds defeated the Storm Chasers by the score of 5-3 at First Tennessee Park. Moser went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. Nashville reliever Anderson Espinoza got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Paul Weaver was tagged with the loss. The Sounds bumped their record to 74-64 with this latest triumph.
Nashville won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. With one out and Luis Heredia on the mound for Omaha, catcher Paul Bailey hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Sounds fans to their feet.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Bailey.
