The Sacramento River Cats downed the El Paso Chihuahuas, 9-5, at Southwest University Park. Tyler Soderstrom led the way, going 1-for-3 for Sacramento. Picking up the win was Max Sutter. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 1. The River Cats lead the Pacific Conference North by 11 games.

Sacramento took a 6-2 lead on Soderstrom's 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Marshall Edelen in the top of the seventh, propelled Sacramento to the win.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Soderstrom.
