Flying Squirrels Lose By a Run at New Hampshire, 3-2
|
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats had to overcome a good performance from Richmond pitcher Tom Robson to claim a 3-2 win at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Robson went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Roger Cameron converted his 24th save in 27 tries. With the win, New Hampshire raised its record to 46-31.
Will Ward, who is tied for 3rd in the EL in triples with 5, helped out the New Hampshire cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-4 with a double.
Ward attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
