The Rumble Ponies grabbed a win, 3-2, at NYSEG Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Reading pitcher Karl Kauffmann. Kauffmann went 7.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Binghamton reliever Michael McAvene got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Will Johnson was tagged with the loss. Binghamton raised its record to 42-37 with the win.

The Rumble Ponies procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Jack Lamond. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

Lamond attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
