Floundering Baysox Lose 8th Straight
|
In a low-scoring game between Erie and Bowie, pitcher Chris Clarke was excellent. The Erie right-hander helped his team knock off the Baysox, 3-1. Tyler Waddell, credited with the save, is now 22 for 24 in save opportunities. Erie has 3 straight wins, Bowie 8 straight losses.
Christopher Hines contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that helped Erie get the win.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Bowie manager Matt Tuiasosopo. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
