The Bowie Baysox had no problem beating the Erie SeaWolves, 11-1, at Prince George's Stadium. Jonathan Krause led the way. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Bowie. The Baysox lead the South by 2½ games.

The Baysox got a big hit from right fielder Seuly Matias. In the bottom of the eighth, Matias pounded a grand slam home run to right-center. His 14th home run of the season put the Baysox ahead, 11-1.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Matias said.
