Buffalo beat Lehigh Valley at Coca-Cola Field, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Rich Ritchie. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Bisons, now 19-12, have won 6 in a row.

Ritchie had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-0 fastball from Marcus Stroman, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Bisons a 6-4 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Ritchie.

"I try to not think too much," said Ritchie.
