The Altoona Curve overcame a fine performance by Bowie designated hitter Cole Austin to defeat the Baysox, 6-5, at Peoples Natural Gas Field. Austin was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The victory gives the Curve a record of 76-65.

Altoona won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Chris Jones on the mound for Bowie, catcher Grant Koch hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Curve fans to their feet.

"This game tested our mettle," said Koch.
