The Biloxi Shuckers did just enough to secure a victory over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, 3-2, at MGM Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Mason Pelio. Pelio picked up the win for Biloxi, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Henry Sullivan closed the game out for Biloxi, earning his 1st save.
Thomas Turgeron aided the Biloxi cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop was 1-3 with a triple.
"We did enough to win," said Turgeron.
The win gives Biloxi a record of 1-1.
