|
The Syracuse Chiefs topped the Scranton WB RailRiders, 9-6, in International League action at PNC Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Syracuse designated hitter Connor Phillips. The losing skid has reached 6 games for Scranton WB.
John Ballard, the 32-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ballard contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Syracuse up, 3-0.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Phillips said.
