Biscuits Collect 5-2 Win Versus Birmingham
The Montgomery Biscuits got a stellar performance from pitcher Brandon Smith, who handcuffed the Birmingham offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Regions Field. Picking up the save was Jacolby Criswell, his 1st. The win lifts Montgomery to a record of 1-1.

Montgomery used the timely hitting of Jesus Galiz to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Biscuits on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Enjoyed this one," Galiz told the Montgomery Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
