Fireflies Snatch Late Win
The West Virginia Power got a superb performance from pitcher Jarrett Lee, but the Columbia Fireflies still won the game, 2-0. Lee threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. With the win, Columbia lifts its record to 2-1.

Columbia used a clutch hit from Ruben Ibarra to get the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fireflies ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll savor this win," Ibarra told the Columbia Gazette, "then get ready for the next game."
