Generals Win 3-2 Walk-Off

The Jackson Generals had to overcome a good performance from Tennessee pitcher Landon Leach to claim a 3-2 win at The Ballpark at Jackson. Leach went 7 innings and allowed no runs. Chad James, now 1-1, was credited with the win. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 0 and walking 1. After losing, Tennessee is 14-8.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Jackson right fielder Jake Edmonds, facing Walter Hoffman, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Generals the 3-2 win.
Tennessee manager Paul Maholm said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
