In a close game at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, the Montgomery Biscuits edged the Mississippi Braves, 3-2. Montgomery shortstop Dauri Lorenzo stood apart with his performance. He went 2 for 3 with 2 triples and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Rodrigo Calderón, now 1-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. The defeat makes Mississippi 11-9.

Lorenzo contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring triple. It was one at-bat among others that helped Montgomery get the win.

"We were in it," said Mississippi manager Brett Bochy. "We just didn't score enough runs."
