Shuckers Beat Barons, 4-1
|
Ken Seals never let Birmingham get something going. The Biloxi right-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Shuckers to a 4-1 win. The Shuckers have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 7th win in 20 games.
In the top of the ninth, Máximo González stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Barons were trailing 4-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when Kyle McCloskey made a terrific pitch and González popped out. Gone was the dream of a Birmingham comeback.
