Biloxi catcher Bernie Wolfe had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Wolfe was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, even as Tennessee beat the Shuckers, 10-7. The Shuckers, now 8-18, continue their sluggish start.

Tennessee relied on the hitting of Drew Sanders to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Smokies on top, 2-1. For the game, Sanders had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Tennessee skipper Paul Maholm.
