Generals Walk It Off for 19th Win of Season
The rain did not keep Jackson and Mississippi from finishing their game.

The Jackson Generals saddled the Mississippi Braves with a loss at The Ballpark at Jackson. The final score was 7-6. Manuel Ortíz was 3 for 3, including 2 singles and 1 home run. The Jackson second baseman scored 2 runs and drove in 1. Jackson reliever Brandon Birdsell picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Ben Trigueros shouldered the loss.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 14th. With one out, Ortíz hit a fastball from Ben Trigueros for a solo home run. The Generals, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Ortíz.

The Generals move to 19-18 with the win, while the Braves drop to 21-16.
