Getting an impressive start from Ernest Mabee, Chattanooga beat Jackson by the score of 3-1. Lee Young recorded the save for Chattanooga, his 15th of the season. Chattanooga raised its record to 39-30 with the win.
Kyle Beach hit a 2-run triple off Don White in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Lookouts in front, 2-1. Beach had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Mabee said.
