Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Montgomery Biscuits and Mississippi Braves.

Montgomery starter Ryan Hilinski put a stranglehold on the Mississippi offense. The right-hander had complete command of his circle change in leading the Biscuits to a 3-1 win. Hilinski, now 5-2, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Joe Nixon earned the save for Montgomery, his 12th of the year.

The Biscuits had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Montgomery, with one out. Mississippi, with a runner on 2nd, was mounting a threat. Logan Driscoll dug in at the plate, but on a full count fastball, he grounded out.

Montgomery is in 4th place in the North with a record of 33-38.
