Jackson Beats Birmingham, 4-0
|
Don White never let Birmingham get something going. The Jackson right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Generals to a 4-0 win. With the win, Jackson raised its record to 40-36.
Zach Roberts, the slick-fielding shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Roberts contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth inning to put Jackson up, 3-0.
"We take it day by day here," said Roberts, "and today was a good one for us."
