Biscuits Post 3-1 Win Over Chattanooga

Conditions were not ideal but Montgomery and Chattanooga were able to put their game in the books.
The Montgomery Biscuits topped the Chattanooga Lookouts, 3-1, in Southern League action at AT&T Field. The standout performance belonged to Montgomery pitcher and Richland, Mississippi, native Brandon Smith. In 5 innings, Smith surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed no runs.
Pepe Gonzáles, the 25-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Gonzáles contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Montgomery up, 1-0.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Montgomery manager Joey Cora said.
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Montgomery.
